Job summary

Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. This role focuses on Android-related features within the Search app, collaborating with product and UX teams to deliver high-quality experiences at scale.

You will write maintainable code, review performance, test across environments, and participate in end-to-end delivery while embracing Google's culture and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of software development experience in one or more languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 1 year of Android application development experience.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to front-end experiences for the Android Search App by collaborating with cross-functional partners (PM, UX) on team projects.
• Implement features, writing high-quality, testable code with guidance and support from senior team members.
• Test assigned features across various environments and assist in triaging product or system issues.
• Manage assigned work to meet deadlines, proactively communicating progress and escalating technical challenges.
• Leverage AI development tools to optimize daily workflows.

• Experience with Kotlin, Integration Testing, Experiment Design, Cross-Functional Collaboration.
• User-facing product development experience.
