Job summary

JPMorganChase, via Hackajob, is seeking a Software Engineer II to join AMDP. The role emphasizes secure, scalable software components for state-of-the-art technology products in a global financial services environment.

You will work within an agile team, contributing across the SDLC, applying enterprise-approved AI-assisted development tools, and ensuring resiliency and security in code and systems.

Qualifications

• Proven production-oriented software engineering experience.
• Hands-on system design, development, testing and operational stability.
• Experience in large corporate environments with modern languages and DB querying.
• Code in one or more languages with demonstrable output.
• Experience across the full SDLC.
• Exposure to CI/CD, resiliency and security practices.
• Knowledge of cloud, AI/ML, GenAI tools and platforms.
• Familiar with modern front-end technologies.

Responsibilities

• Execute standard software solutions from design to troubleshooting.
• Write secure, high-quality production code using at least one language with minimal guidance.
• Design, develop, code and troubleshoot with consideration for upstream/downstream systems.
• Apply SDLC tools to improve automation value.
• Code review and debugging of others’ code.
• Analyze large data sets to identify problems and support secure development decisions.
• Learn and apply processes for secure, stable code and systems.

Job description

Salary: £95,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven production-oriented software engineering experience
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
• Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages
• Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
• Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile
• Experience with coding assistants and development harnesses to streamline software delivery
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools in the work environment, with the ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations
• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
• Exposure to cloud technologies
• Awareness of AI/ML and GenAI tools and platforms
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
