Job summary

Oxford Knight is seeking a Software Engineer, Reporting to join a fast-growing financial services firm with global reach. You will design, own and optimize a generalized reporting system feeding outputs for multiple products across regions, ensuring correctness, reliability and performance.

The role focuses on building robust data-driven reporting pipelines using Python, Pandas and SQL (Snowflake, Postgres), with a strong emphasis on observability, alerting and scalable scheduling (AirFlow).

Qualifications

• Hands-on architecture experience building critical reporting or data transformation systems.
• Experience adding observability with tools like Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus.
• Experience designing tight SLO (>0.99) workflows on scheduling systems (AirFlow).
• Expert-level Python, Pandas and SQL skills (Snowflake and Postgres).
• Strong code-review skills and maintaining robust, generalizable code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and own a generalized system for generating business-critical reports from backend data platform
• High-impact role: reporting systems handle outputs for all products globally, and are necessary to launch and grow all business products
• Take ownership of correctness, reliability, and performance of reporting
• Develop a deep understanding of the business context in which the team operates
• Drive communication between engineers and stakeholders across the business
