Job summary

Accenture is seeking an engineering professional based in Glasgow or Edinburgh with ad hoc travel to client sites across the UK. The role sits within the Software & Platform Engineering team and offers exposure to a broad range of technologies and industries.

You will work on digital product delivery, applying hands-on engineering skills with React or Java, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and data stores. A collaborative, learning-focused mindset is essential, along with flexibility for UK-wide

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with React or Java (not necessarily both).
• Cloud experience delivering solutions on AWS and/or Azure is an advantage.
• Experience with No-SQL datastore technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch) is an advantage.
• Ability to translate analytical and creative thinking into technical solutions is an advantage.
• Ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to build digital products and deliver engineering work hands-on.
• Lead client accounts, covering people, delivery, quality and commercial aspects.
• Deliver strong engineering outcomes while keeping the big picture in mind.
• Help clients leverage consultancy capabilities to meet goals sooner.

Job description

Salary: £50,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for several years of hands-on experience with React or Java; expertise in both is not required.
• We value collaborative, open and egoless working styles, with adaptability, comfort with change, and a strong motivation to keep learning.
• Hands-on cloud experience designing and delivering solutions on AWS and/or Azure is an advantage.
• Ability to apply analytical and creative thinking and translate it into technical solutions is an advantage.
• Ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues is an advantage.
• Experience building datastore solutions on at least one No-SQL technology, such as Elasticsearch, is an advantage.
• Any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory SC security clearance, requiring 5 years continuous UK address history and typically no periods of 30 consecutive days or more spent outside the UK.
• We require flexibility and mobility, including willingness to travel to client sites throughout the UK on an ad hoc basis.
