Job summary

Qube Research & Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer on the Data team in the UK to design scalable data services and support trading and research workflows.

You will work at the intersection of engineering, trading, and research, delivering reference data processing, reporting infrastructure, and front-office analytics. Strong Python expertise and production experience with C# are required.

Qualifications

  • Expert-level Python development with solid system design knowledge.
  • Production experience with C# in a data/engineering context.
  • Relational databases and SQL proficiency.
  • Experience with testing strategies and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent cross-team communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable services to process and distribute reference data across asset types.
  • Automate life cycle events such as corporate actions and coupon payments across instruments.
  • Build and maintain systems for internal and external reporting (end-of-day, compliance, regulatory).
  • Develop real-time and batch reporting infrastructure for front-office consumption.
  • Collaborate with research and execution teams to align data pipelines with trading workflows.
  • Implement automated testing and maintain CI/CD pipelines for delivery assurance.
  • Contribute to systems integration between Python- and C#-based components.

The team works closely with engineering, compliance, and quant stakeholders to ensure data flows are accurate, robust, and aligned with business needs.

Your future role within QRT

You will join QRT’s Data team as a Software Engineer, working at the intersection of engineering, trading, and research. Your focus will be on delivering scalable systems for reference data management, regulatory and external reporting, and front-office analytics. This role offers direct visibility across the business and the opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders across Execution, Engineering, and Research teams. Every project you work on will contribute to operational efficiency and trading decision-making.

  • Design and develop scalable services to process and distribute reference data across asset types

  • Build and maintain systems for internal and external reporting (including end-of-day reporting, compliance, and regulatory)

Your present skillset
  • Expert-level Python development experience, with solid understanding of system design and architecture
  • Proven experience working with C# in a production environment
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
  • Understanding of testing strategies as part of CI/CD workflows
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
