Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on Data and Java for a fully remote role in the United Kingdom. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and data-processing components, enabling data ingestion, transformation, and enterprise integrations at high volume.

Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders, participate in code reviews, and uphold engineering best practices within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, backend and data-focused.
• Strong Java development skills and production-grade backend experience.
• Experience with data-oriented systems, ETL processes, data processing workflows, or backend data services.
• Knowledge of APIs, databases, distributed application architecture, and system integration.
• Experience with Spark, Kafka, or other large-scale data platform and processing technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD practices, and data pipeline operations.
• Experience supporting high-volume or enterprise-scale applications and services.
• Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within collaborative Agile engineering teams and cross-functional environments.

This is a fully remote opportunity for a senior-level Software Engineer combining strong Java development expertise with experience building data-driven systems. You will develop and maintain scalable backend services, data-processing components, integrations, and enterprise applications. The role involves designing solutions for data ingestion and transformation while ensuring reliable communication between systems and services.
