Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Software/Data engineering roles including writing Streaming/Data intensive applications.
  • Backend Software experience using Python.
  • Experience with at least one major public cloud, primarily AWS.
  • Familiarity with building and managing Data lakes.

Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy applications from scratch and using stream processing frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure teams on deploying and releasing data processing infrastructure.
  • Build systems to manage operational and metadata needs.
  • Support Data Engineering and Customer Solutions Engineers.

The Opportunity:

IntentHQ are at the start of building out a next‑generation data + AI platform for collating and analysing extremely granular behavioural intent data across web and mobile data. We are looking for a software engineer/data engineer to write production services and streaming applications to power our customer‑facing AI capabilities and act as a secure front door to Intents infrastructure.

What will you do:

  • Build and Deploy applications both from scratch and using stream processing frameworks that can handle multiple tenants that can scale up to the demands of high‑scale businesses.

  • Collaborate with our Infrastructure teams on how we deploy and release data processing infrastructure and automate the management of our datasets securely.

  • Build systems to manage operational and metadata needs so that we know if there are problems with data before customers do.

  • Support Data Engineering + Customer Solutions Engineers' needs on their bespoke customer solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Essential
    • 3 + years of experience in Software/Data engineering roles, including writing Streaming/Data Intensive applications.

    • Backend Software experience using Python.

    • Experience with at least one of the major public clouds (We currently use mostly AWS)

    • Familiarity with building and managing Data lakes (We are moving to using Delta Lake and Unity Catalog quite extensively in Databricks)

  • Desired but not essential.
    • Experience with Telemetry/IOT workloads

    • Experience with Databricks or similar Data platforms

    • Experience with DevOps approaches of deploying/managing your own software

    • Familiarity with how Machine Learning and Agentic applications use data.
