Develop your software engineering skills working on autonomous systems already operating in the real world.
At sees.ai, we've developed the core software platform behind our autonomous aircraft technology. It's proven in the field and already supporting energy grid inspection missions being flown internationally.
Now we're tackling the next set of engineering challenges: making the system more capable, reliable and scalable as our operations grow.
How do we improve performance when computing resources and connectivity are constrained? How do we evolve complex software without compromising reliability? How do we build new capabilities while supporting an expanding fleet operating in the real world?
We're looking for a talented C++ Software Engineer who enjoys solving problems like these.
You'll work across our core software stack, spanning flight control, mission systems, simulation, connectivity and operator interfaces. You'll contribute to new capabilities, investigate technical problems and develop your skills working on sophisticated software that's already in production.
You'll join a collaborative team of experienced engineers working across software, robotics, hardware and operations. You'll have plenty of opportunity to learn, contribute your ideas and see the results of your work in the field.
We're continuing to grow our software engineering team, having already recruited several engineers over the past year. With further investment secured, we're now expanding the team to support the next stage of growth.
Developing, testing and improving C++ software across our autonomous systems platform.
Investigating bugs and solving technical problems, with support from experienced colleagues.
Helping improve software performance, reliability and efficiency.
Contributing to the development of new features and capabilities.
Working with engineers across different disciplines to understand how software interacts with physical systems.
Learning from operational feedback and developing your understanding of complex, production software.
Strong programming ability in C++, with a solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals.
Practical experience building and delivering software in a professional environment, with clear ownership of your contributions.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex technical problems and develop effective solutions.
A sound grounding in mathematics and computational principles.
Experience with software design, debugging and testing, including diagnosing and resolving problems in working systems.
An understanding of software performance, memory management and computing constraints.
Intellectual curiosity, independent thinking and a genuine enjoyment of programming.
You don't need a background in robotics. We're equally interested in people from computer science, physics, mathematics, games development and other technically demanding disciplines.
You might be early in your software engineering career or have a few years' experience. What matters is that you've taken real ownership of building and delivering software in a professional environment. We're interested in what you've built, the technical challenges you've tackled and the decisions you've made along the way.
Work on interesting engineering problems with direct, visible results in real-world operations.
Learn from experienced engineers across software, robotics, hardware integration and operations.
Develop your technical skills working on sophisticated C++ software and complex physical systems.
Join a friendly, collaborative team where you can contribute ideas and take ownership as you develop.
Be part of a venture-backed company with proven technology, major commercial contracts and international growth ambitions.
Competitive salary and share options — own a piece of what you help build.
