Job summary

Apple’s Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) team is looking for a junior software engineer to help build large-scale, enterprise-grade systems. You’ll work with engineers across time zones, learning from peers while delivering solutions that address real customer needs.

Emphasis on privacy, quality and security runs throughout the role. You’ll prototype ideas, seek feedback, and iterate under senior guidance, building strong fundamentals in modern languages and architectures.

Qualifications

• Foundational programming knowledge in Java, Swift, Go, Rust, or C#.
• Understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, design patterns).
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
• An interest in security and awareness of common security principles.

Responsibilities

• Working alongside experienced engineers, you’ll engage with users to understand real challenges and transform insights into solutions.
• Prototyping ideas, seeking feedback, and iterating under guidance from senior team members.
• Develop an appreciation for privacy, quality, security and accessibility standards while resolving support issues.
