Job summary

Turing is seeking a Software Engineering evaluator to curate code examples and refine AI-generated coding solutions. The role focuses on Java and other languages (Python, JavaScript, C/C++, Rust, Go) with emphasis on production-grade software and scalable architectures.

Engagement is flexible (10–40 hrs/week) as a contractor. Candidates must be based in US, Canada, or WEU, including the United Kingdom, and work with cross-functional teams to advance AI-driven coding capabilities.

Qualifications

• Several years of software engineering experience (3 years or more).
• Strong expertise in building full-stack applications and deploying scalable, production-grade software using modern languages and tools.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, design, development, debugging, and code quality/review assessment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for clear, structured evaluation rationales.

Responsibilities

• Curate code examples and build solutions for AI model training, mainly in Java.
• Evaluate and refine AI-generated code for efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve AI-driven coding solutions.
• Build verification agents to assess code quality and identify error patterns.
• Hypothesize on steps in the software engineering cycle and evaluate model capabilities.
• Design automatic verification mechanisms for software tasks.
