Job summary

SugarAI UK Limited is seeking engineers to advance AI-powered CRM tooling with agentic development systems. You will write executable specifications, use AI-assisted tools across the full SDLC, and apply rigorous review to AI-generated code to ensure quality and security.

You will design, implement, and ship features for a high-volume SaaS platform, own end-to-end delivery, and collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and QA to deliver meaningful customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience developing enterprise or SaaS software in production environments.
• Experience with executable specifications and AI-assisted code generation.
• Proficiency in at least one OO or modern SaaS language; able to learn new languages.

Responsibilities

• Work from executable specifications - write clear SDD/BDD specs and acceptance criteria as input for AI-assisted code generation.
• Use agentic coding tools across the full SDLC from spec to implementation to test generation to code review.
• Apply critical judgment to AI-generated code and attestations before merge, assessing correctness and security implications.
• Contribute to agentic development practices like spec standards and attestation norms.
• Design, implement, and ship features for high-volume SaaS environments with reliability.
• Ensure agentic code is clean, well tested and easy to extend.
• Own feature areas end-to-end from requirements to production delivery.
• Review outputs and orchestrate unit and integration tests to verify real behaviour.
• Contribute to engineering standards and excellence across the AI SDLC.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA to build the right thing.
• Understand system interactions and downstream effects of design decisions.
• Communicate clearly in specs and code reviews; participate in agile ceremonies.
