Job summary

Eastbourne Digifest is seeking an engineer to join the TEMPEST team delivering the UK’s 6th generation fighter program. You will design, build, and integrate next‑generation combat air capabilities, collaborating with industry and government partners on AI, MBSE, and advanced computing.

You will contribute to software architecture, model-based systems engineering, and ensure delivery in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Degree level education or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Demonstrable experience of architecting, designing and delivering software solutions.
• Competency in at least one of C, C++, Python or Ada.
• Knowledge of UML and/or DO-178C is advantageous but not necessary.
• Experience working with or familiarity with AI/ML models is preferred.

Qualifications

Successful candidates should ideally possess:

• Degree level education or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Demonstrable experience of architecting, designing and delivering software solutions
• Competency in at least one of C, C++, Python or Ada
• Demonstrated high levels of motivation, integrity, and professionalism
• Flexibility, innovation, and commitment to delivery in fast-paced environments
• Knowledge of UML and/or DO-178C is advantageous but not necessary
• Experience working with or familiarity with AI/ML models is preferred.

Additional Information

This role has a salary of between £36,000 and £45,000 plus our flexible benefits package.

We are open to this role being spent with time working from home and in the office (hybrid - typically 3 days working in office) on a weekly basis or fully in our offices.
