We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our innovative team at AIRBUS Defence and Space Limited. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of cutting‑edge software solutions for critical defence and space applications.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high‑quality software applications and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including systems engineers, hardware engineers, and other software developers, to define requirements and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Participate in the full software development life cycle, from concept and design to testing, deployment, and support.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code adhering to established coding standards and best practices.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to design specifications.
  • Debug and troubleshoot software issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and tools.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to defence and space software development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in software development, preferably within a professional environment.
  • Strong experience with Java (17+).
  • Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of software testing principles and experience with unit and integration testing.
  • Awareness of potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.
