Job summary

Experis - ManpowerGroup in Newcastle upon Tyne is hiring multiple Software Engineers across Junior, Mid-level and Senior levels to join a brand new engineering team. Candidates must hold active SC Clearance or be eligible to obtain SC Clearance.

You will design, develop and maintain software using Python, C++, Go, or Rust, with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and monitoring. Work in agile squads, contribute to architecture, mentor where appropriate, and help deploy and operate production systems.

Qualifications

• Active SC Clearance OR eligibility to obtain SC Clearance.
• UK residency for past 5 years.
• Strong software fundamentals and problem-solving.
• Experience in agile environments and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills.

Software Engineer - SC Cleared / SC Eligible

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

About the Role

We are working with a leading organisation who are building a brand new Software Engineering team in Newcastle. They are looking to hire multiple Software Engineers across Junior, Mid-level, and Senior levels. Due to the nature of the projects, candidates must hold active SC Clearance or be eligible to obtain SC Clearance.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team, work on meaningful and technically interesting projects, and shape the direction of a newly formed engineering function.

Key Responsibilities

Security Clearance

• Active SC Clearance OR eligibility to obtain SC Clearance is mandatory.
• Must have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years.

Mid-Level:

• 2-5 years commercial experience
• Ability to work independently and contribute to design

Senior:

• 5+ years commercial experience
• Strong technical leadership and mentoring capability
