Job summary

Getnet Platforms, part of Santander Payment Solutions, seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications within a cloud-native, microservices environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to performance improvements, and help drive CI/CD, observability, and best practices across the engineering org. A hybrid 60% on-site model is expected in the UK.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing Java applications in production environments.
• Experience building and maintaining microservices architectures.
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring team members.
• Experience with incident management and performance optimization.
• Experience integrating AI-assisted development tools into daily workflows (preferred).
• Experience building or integrating AI/ML capabilities into applications (preferred).
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Professional certifications in Java, Cloud Technologies, or Scrum (preferred).
• English language proficiency (Professional).
