Job description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for creating highly functional applications with great usability to join us in The Tools Team at Cloud Imperium Games in Manchester. The Team creates a wide variety of applications and services to empower the talented developers of Star Citizen and Squadron 42, making their lives easier and more efficient. We work closely with Designers, Artists, Engineers, QA and Production to deliver automated testing, process support, data management, team co‑ordination and more. We develop for both Desktop and Web using C# with WPF or Blazor backed by databases such as MySQL, SQL Server and SQLite. We also work in C++ for those cases where we need to do some heavy‑lifting or integrate closely with the Game Engine. As a Senior Software Engineer, you would take full ownership of both existing tools and delivery of completely new projects. This entails working with users to understand their needs and defining solutions; producing technical designs; researching implementation technologies; and finally delivering and maintaining a great solution. You would also contribute to improving the team's internal tooling and processes as well as mentoring junior members of the team.
