Qualifications

As part of our growth in the Wi‑Fi Business Unit, we are seeking engineers with experience in embedded software, strong collaboration skills, and a genuine interest in embracing new hardware solutions and developing low‑level tools and driver code.

As a Software Engineer within the Wi‑Fi Simulations and Tools team, you will be designing, implementing, and testing high‑performance simulations and tools in the development of our latest Wi‑Fi products. These models and tools are used for hardware verification and as development platforms for firmware engineers. The role is varied, one day requiring debugging full Wi‑Fi applications with software, while the next involves designing and collaborating with the Algorithm and Hardware teams.

Key responsibilities
  • Contribute to the Wi‑Fi runtime tools enabling engineers to debug pre‑silicon development platforms
  • Create highly optimized low‑level production driver code for the Wi‑Fi subsystem
  • Debug, profile and analyze RTOS and low‑level firmware within the Wi‑Fi subsystem
  • Design, implement and test C++ simulations of the hardware
  • Collaborate with the Hardware design team to validate the RTL
  • Prototype and provide feedback on algorithm decisions
Key Qualification and skills
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Excellent C/C++ micro‑controller programming skills
  • Strong embedded software development and debugging skills
  • Understanding of microcontrollers and real‑time operating systems, such as Zephyr RTOS
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience in verification
  • An interest in communication standards and knowledge or a desire to learn how hardware works
