Job summary

VirtueTech Recruitment Group is working with an established financial services organisation in London to hire a Senior C#/.NET Software Engineer. This hands-on role focuses on designing, developing and enhancing complex trading applications and business-critical systems within the Capital Markets Team.

The successful candidate will stay hands-on while taking on greater technical responsibility, influence engineering direction and own significant parts of the deployment pipeline.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience in a senior role.
• Strong C#/.NET expertise and backend development proficiency.
• Experience with SQL, APIs and system design.
• Background in financial services, ideally trading systems or capital markets.
• Understanding of trading workflows, financial products or order management systems.
• Delivering complex technical projects and taking ownership of solutions.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance trading applications.
• Build and enhance backend systems, APIs and business logic.
• Take ownership of technical projects from design through to delivery.
• Contribute to architecture, technical decisions and system improvements.

We are working with an established financial services organisation seeking an experienced Senior C#/.NET Software Engineer to join its growing engineering function in London.

This is a hands-on technical role offering the opportunity to design, develop and enhance complex trading applications and business-critical systems within the Capital Markets Team.

This opportunity would be suited to an experienced engineer who enjoys remaining hands on while taking on greater technical responsibility and influencing engineering direction.

Up to 115K base salary + bonus + benefits
