Job summary

BREVAN HOWARD ASSET MANAGEMENT LLP is seeking a skilled Java engineer to join our trading tech team. You will design, implement and evolve distributed trade booking, reconciliation and reporting systems on a scalable microservices platform.

Ideal candidates bring 5-10 years of Java experience, hands-on AWS and Kafka, and a strong background in CI/CD and relational databases, with a track record of delivering robust financial systems.

Job description

The Department:

Join the team that is responsible for designing, implementing & continuously evolving trade capture & middle office systems in our new fully systematic trading booking platform. The engineering team will work closely with trading tech, portfolio finance & middle office operations teams in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate must possess strong knowledge & experience of designing & implementing distributed and scalable multi-asset class (equities, swaps, futures & fx) trade booking, reconciliation and reporting systems using microservices architecture.

The engineering team is part of systematic technology group responsible to design, implement and evolve systems required to enable the real time trade booking, t0/t1 reconciliations & reporting.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

• Design, develop and evolve highly scalable & reliable trade processing, reconciliation & reporting platform.
