Job summary

Cititec is partnered with a leading global commodities trading firm in London, seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer. You’ll build production-grade apps, AI-powered workflows, and bespoke integrations bridging technology and business.

You’ll work hands-on with front-office users, delivering solutions from prototype to production in a hybrid model. The role emphasizes building scalable systems, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving delivery from PoC to production in a dynamic enterprise

Job description

I'm working with a leading global commodities trading firm that is investing heavily in AI, engineering and digital transformation. They're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge the gap between technology and the business, taking innovative ideas from prototype through to production.

This is a hands on role where you'll work directly with front office users, building production grade applications, AI powered workflows and bespoke integrations that solve real business problems.

You'll need experience with:

• Python and modern full stack development (React and Node.js)
• AWS, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD
• APIs, data pipelines and PostgreSQL
• AI technologies including LLMs, RAG and agentic workflows
• Taking applications from proof of concept through to production
• Working closely with business stakeholders in complex enterprise environments
