Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team on Manchester or Gloucester sites in a hybrid pattern. You will design and build software across diverse business areas, collaborating with a cross-functional team to deliver secure, mission-critical systems.

The role requires holding SC and being eligible to obtain eDV clearance. We support DevSecOps at scale, AI/ML, cyber and geospatial capabilities for defence and intelligence sectors, with ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• Full-stack experience with React/NextJS, TypeScript, Python and Java.
• REST API development with OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Cloud services experience (AWS or Azure).
• Containerisation and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Ansible.
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL) experience.
• Elasticsearch/OpenSearch experience.
• Unit testing with Mocha, Jest or Cypress.

Raytheon UK have a full time, permanent opportunity for a Software Engineer to join our team on our Manchester or Gloucester sites within a hybrid working pattern.

You’ll be part of our experienced software dev function, working in a cross-functional team, delivering and deploying critical software across a variety of business areas.

Due to the interesting work we do and the sector this team is working in, we require all candidates to hold SC and be eligible & willing to obtain eDV clearance.

In this area of the business we provide DevSecOps at scale, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, cyber and geospatial intelligence capabilities to support the defence, intelligence and cyber sectors. Collaborating with customers and suppliers to deliver secure, mission critical systems using the latest technologies and innovations.
