You'll work closely with decision-makers, pair-program with a small team, and benefit from a 35-hour week, a pension, and a bonus. The position is mostly remote with one day per week in the Cardiff office.
We're hiring a full-stack engineer for a small Cardiff-based SaaS business. Self-funded, profitable, paying customers and growing. The team is small enough that the person we hire will be in the room when product decisions get made.
This is a hands-on engineering role across the full stack, with real ownership of the cloud infrastructure that keeps the product running. If you've spent the last couple of years writing production code and want a role with more scope than a big-company ticket queue, this is worth a look.
The stack Node on the back end, React with TypeScript on the front, PostgreSQL, hosted on AWS using ECS, RDS and S3.
Building features end-to-end, from database schema through to UI
Owning deployments and the cloud infrastructure that runs them
Working directly with the people deciding what the product does next
Pairing with a small team where your code review actually gets read
Around 2-4 years of commercial development experience
Comfortable across front and back end, with a stronger lean toward the back
Solid relational database skills
Hands-on experience building or running things on AWS, Azure or GCP
The kind of engineer who reads other people's code carefully and asks good questions
To discuss anything you've built outside of work that you'd want to talk about
Experience with APIs and third-party integrations
Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CDK, Bicep)
CI/CD pipeline experience
£50,000 to £60,000 depending on experience
Pension and bonus
35-hour week with genuine flexibility
One day a week in the Cardiff office
A direct line to the people running the business
