Job summary

FTI Consulting LLP is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its D&A Software Solutions team. You will design, build, and deliver client-centric web applications using a modern stack and cloud services, while leading projects and mentoring teammates.

Collaborate with engineers, managers and stakeholders across the business, promote best practices, and drive production quality through code reviews and continuous improvement. Some travel to client sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Several years of Web Application development
• Experience leading software teams
• Experience leading Agile ceremonies

Responsibilities

• Raise awareness in the EMEA region of D&A Software Solutions’ capabilities and service lines through networking and demonstrations to internal partners and clients
• Designing, creating, and implementing client-centric web applications
• Leading software projects and collaborate daily with fellow software engineers, managers and stakeholders
• Conducting peer code reviews, triaging flaws & promoting updates to production
• Playing an active role in mentoring junior members of the team
• Acting as an evangelist to promote best practice and sharing knowledge both internally and externally
• Analyzing, programming, and testing complex modules from design specifications
• Learning existing applications and designing new tools to improve processes
• Identifying relationships among multiple data sources and organizing this information for data analysis

About The Role

The Software Solutions team is a high‑velocity team that delivers bespoke data‑driven solutions to our clients across the business spectrum. As experts in custom web application development, the D&A Software Solutions team delivers tech‑enabled solutions in engagements spanning corporate strategy, litigation, investigations, disputes, compliance, regulatory support, financial crime, fraud, and performance improvement. The team employs a range of modern open source and cloud technologies to design, build, and deliver solutions. This specialized team creates scalable and feature‑rich web applications using a continuously evolving toolkit. Recent solutions have integrated with bespoke AI models, shipped using containerization, and leveraged technologies such as Angular, React, NestJS, TypeScript, Python, Django, Laravel and a wide range of AWS and cloud services. You will have a direct impact on driving innovation by promoting and selecting technologies to meet ever‑changing client needs and evolving industry trends.

What You’ll Do

What You Will Need to Succeed

Strong communication skills and ability to represent D&A Software Solutions in cross‑segment discussions with leadership, marketing, internal partners, and clients.

Able to adapt quickly in handling multiple evolving tasks as a result of new engagements and/or re‑prioritized deadlines.

Able to work on a team as well as independently.

Ability to travel to FTI office(s) and client site(s) as needed.

Highly motivated, hard‑working, eager to learn, and able to motivate others.

Able to regularly communicate status to both internal and external clients.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and work experience

• Several years of Web Application development
• Experience leading software teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with software development technologies including backend frameworks, frontend frameworks, RESTFul APIs, OOP, version control, automated testing, relational databases, programming, web servers and web development
• Competency in IAM principles, SAML, Single Sign-On, authentication and authorization techniques
• Able to produce high quality and/or final work product under strict deadlines
• Flexibility to provide night and weekend coverage when requested
