Job summary

Amazon Prime Video seeks a software engineer to design and build innovative features for living room devices (TVs, set-top boxes) and to develop tooling enabling manufacturers to install, test, and monitor Prime Video performance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and operations, leverage AI to ship features quickly, and uphold high quality through code reviews, monitoring, and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
• Experience in professional, non-internship software development.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.

About the team

The Device Partnerships organization works directly with third-party device manufacturers (e.g. Samsung, LG, Sony) and distributors to ensure that Prime Video works seamlessly on any living room device across the globe.

Our team delivers features on these devices, to allow users to sign in and discover Prime Video content and offers before launching the app.

Our team also provides tooling to support third-party and internal engineers to certify that Prime Video is running correctly on these devices, and to manage and monitor the software running on them.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
• Experience in professional, non-internship software development
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
