Job description

Arcus FM are looking for a talented React Native App Developer to join our team on a permanent basis. In this role, you'll play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining mobile applications that meet the evolving needs of our business and clients.

You’ll work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to build high‑quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions, delivering real impact from day one. If you’re passionate about clean code, user‑friendly experiences, and staying ahead of the tech curve, we’d love to hear from you.

Although this role allows for primarily remote working, there is a requirement to attend the Redditch office at least once a month.

What you’ll do

• Design & Development: Write, test, and deploy clean, efficient code for a variety of mobile applications
• System Maintenance: Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to improve performance and security
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with designers, product managers, and fellow developers to ensure seamless user experiences
• Documentation: Maintain clear technical documentation to support development processes and knowledge sharing
• Innovation: Research and implement new technologies and best practices to enhance products and workflows

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Professional experience in mobile development using React Native
• Proficiency with tools like Expo, Redux, and React Navigation
• Solid experience working with RESTful APIs and third‑party SDK integrations
• Familiarity with mobile databases and local storage solutions
• Strong understanding of deployment to both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Awareness of modern development trends and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to optimise applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Strong communication skills - able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
