Job summary

You will design, develop and maintain applications using Java and/or C++, contribute to architecture, mentor peers and help shape future software projects while working closely with stakeholders and delivering high-quality APIs and services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' commercial software development experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.
• Strong experience with Java and/or C++.
• Experience developing software within Linux environments.
• Good understanding of software architecture and object-oriented design principles.
• Experience developing backend applications, services or APIs.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience using Git and modern development workflows.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Containerisation technologies such as Docker.
• CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Cloud platforms and modern software architectures.

Software Developer (Java/C++)

We're recruiting for a Software Developer to join a growing technology organisation delivering innovative software solutions within a secure and highly technical environment.

Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you'll be involved in the development of scalable applications, contributing to technical design, mentoring colleagues and helping shape the future direction of software projects.
