Job summary

The Scottish Government is looking for a Software Developer (Integration Platform) within the Digital Delivery & Change division in Glasgow. You will join the Boomi Integration Platform team to deliver software components that support our social security systems and participate in agile, collaborative work with training opportunities.

You will write secure, well-tested code, follow guidelines and help improve them while mentoring junior colleagues and ensuring services run smoothly in production.

Job description

Join Social Security Scotland's Digital Delivery & Change division as a Software Developer (Integration Platform) in the Boomi Integration Platform team. You will collaborate in a multidisciplinary team to deliver software components that support our vital social security systems.

Our Software Developers are deployed in Agile teams focusing on product development, live service, and continuous improvement. We believe in supporting our team members' growth and development and you will have access to formal training courses and team learning projects. This ensures that you can continuously learn and enhance your skills.

The Software Developer (Integration Platform) post will sit within Social Security Scotland’s Digital Delivery & Change division which has a remit to provide infrastructure and systems to support both the wider social security programme and Social Security Scotland.

A Software Developer delivers software components that form part of a product.

At this role level, you will:
