Job summary

Viridien is seeking a Software Developer for Data Platform & Distributed Systems to design and develop a distributed, microservices-based platform for data cataloguing, metadata management, and high-volume workflows. You will work across the backend stack, building scalable services and APIs on a Kubernetes-driven platform using MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, and Go.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building backend services and distributed systems.
• Strong experience with MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL.
• Solid data modelling, indexing, and query optimisation.
• Experience with messaging systems (Kafka) and caching (Redis).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong focus on scalability, performance, and maintainable code.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues.
