Job summary

A leading telecommunications company is seeking an apprentice Software Developer to design and develop websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP/MySQL. This role involves using WordPress and agile methodology to meet client needs. The position offers the possibility of a full-time role upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP/MySQL programming.
• Experience with WordPress for web development.
• Familiarity with Photoshop for design tasks.
• Understanding of agile methodology.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop websites for customers.
• Use WordPress to create fast-track websites.
• Write and edit source code using an IDE/Text Editor.
• Create client designs using imaging software.
• Renew clients' websites as necessary.
• Purchase domain names as required.

Possibility of a full-time position upon completion of the apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing websites for customers.
• Using the WordPress platform to design and develop fast-track websites.
• Using an IDE/Text Editor to write and edit source code.
• Using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and some PHP/MySQL to design and develop websites.
• Using imaging software such as PhotoShop to create designs for clients.
• Creating projects for customers following the agile methodology.
• Renewing client\'s websites as required.
• Purchasing domain names for customers as of when required.

Software Developer Level 4 – Qualifications/Skills

• How to program websites using different languages, e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP/MySQL.
• How to use the WordPress platform to create fast-track websites.
• How to use PhotoShop when creating designs for clients.
• How to follow the agile methodology when designing and developing websites.
• How to use the company\'s CRM for carrying out projects for customers.
• Managing customer websites and accounts as of when required.
• You will also gain skills in different areas away from your workplace during off-the-job training sessions.
• Functional skills if required.
