Job summary

About The Role

As a Senior Software Developer (Mobile), you will help shape the architecture and design of mobile applications while contributing directly to implementation across the wider solution. You will work with colleagues throughout the development lifecycle, from planning and technical design through coding, testing, review and iteration. The role combines practical development with technical ownership, giving you the opportunity to influence engineering quality and support the growth of other team members.

This is a London-based hybrid contract role with an initial duration of 12 months or longer. You will join an Agile/Scrum delivery environment where priorities may evolve as the team gathers feedback and improves its solutions. The successful candidate will be comfortable balancing independent ownership with open, constructive collaboration across a delivery team.

Qualifications

You will bring strong experience in software architecture and design, together with the ability to apply sound engineering principles to mobile application development. Full-stack development capability is important, as the role involves delivering features end to end and understanding how different parts of a solution work together.

You should have experience contributing to Agile or Scrum teams and be comfortable participating in planning, implementation, testing and iterative improvement. You will also have a considered approach to code review, maintainability and quality, and be able to explain technical decisions clearly. A mentoring mindset is essential: you should enjoy sharing knowledge, guiding colleagues and helping raise the capability of the wider team while remaining actively involved in development.

Responsibilities

Own and contribute to the architecture and design of mobile applications, considering quality, maintainability and the needs of the solution. Develop and deliver full-stack features in partnership with the team, taking work from initial discussion through implementation and testing. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and delivery activities, helping the team plan, build, validate and refine its work.

Review code thoughtfully and constructively, promoting consistent engineering practices and identifying opportunities to improve reliability and readability. Support technical leadership by contributing ideas, sharing expertise and helping colleagues work through technical challenges. Mentor team members where appropriate, encourage collaborative problem-solving and help maintain a high standard of software delivery throughout the development lifecycle.
