The role involves implementing applications using MS SQL and .NET in a Cloud environment and requires excellent communication skills. The University is recruiting for a Software Developer to support the development of services and systems supporting both students and staff, both on campus and across the world. As we transition to the Cloud, our Software Developers will help implement modern coding practices to our existing applications; ensuring they are maintainable, resilient and secure. The work will be Cloud based utilising Azure and .Net 8, offering an excellent opportunity to learn Azure development skills. We are passionate about development at Cardiff Met and seek candidates who share our vision and can help create an outstanding student and staff experience.
With a good knowledge and practical experience of successful software application development using MS SQL and Microsoft.NET Core (ASP.NET, C#.NET and Restful API), you will work as part of an Agile development team, working with a variety of stakeholders from across the University to develop systems and services that support the University staff and students. You will also have excellent interpersonal and well-developed communication skills.
