Location: Bristol

Security Clearance: Must be eligible for SC clearance (UK Security Check)

Purpose of the Role

We're looking for a Software Developer to design, build, and test software that meets both customer and business needs. You'll be responsible for your work from start to finish - from understanding what's needed, through development and testing, to making sure it works well in the final system.

What You'll Do
  • Write and maintain code that meets company and customer standards.
  • Test and integrate your software with other parts of the system to make sure everything works together smoothly.
  • Record and track issues you find so they can be fixed and monitored.
  • Take part in team planning and design sessions to share ideas and improve designs.
  • Review other people's code and have yours reviewed to keep quality high.
  • Work closely with stakeholders (people who rely on the software) to make sure what you build matches what they need.
  • Join in daily and weekly team check-ins (like stand-ups or sprint meetings) to make sure everyone's on track.
Technical Skills
  • Have hands‑on experience coding in advanced C++ and solid understanding of object‑oriented programming (OOP).
  • Know how to use Git for version control (keeping track of changes to code).
  • Have experience testing and integrating code into larger systems.
  • Are comfortable working through the full software lifecycle - from design to delivery.
The Work Environment

You'll be part of a collaborative development team working on high-quality software. The role likely involves working with defence or secure systems, so security clearance is required.
