Qualifications

Job description
Job Overview

A vacancy has arisen for a Software/Database Developer within our Intelligent Manufacturing Systems Team. The team are responsible for the development of Sequoia - NSG's Global Architectural MES and major component of Auto MES. This role would suit applicants with an interest in back-end technologies in particular MS SQL Server development, optimisation and administration, and systems integration. Any experience or knowledge of Process Control systems e.g. SCADA, Inspection Systems, OPC etc would be beneficial.

Responsibilities
  • Leading the rollout of Sequoia upgrades and new instances.
  • Provide the business and our manufacturing lines with direct technical support and training across all Sequoia installations world-wide, which are critical to Manufacturing Operations.
  • Integration of Sequoia with local manufacturing systems enabling the collection of process and production data.
  • Design and development of MS SQL Server Stored Procedures (Host messaging).
  • Database optimisation and (data) migration.
  • Windows Server commissioning.
Qualifications
  • 2:1 degree qualification in a relevant subject.
  • Several years of software or database development experience.
  • Experience of MS SQL Database Development and Admin, TSQL, C#, .Net, JavaScript/jQuery, React, Software Design Patterns, CI/CD, Windows Server Admin.
  • Experience of Systems Integration and liaising with 3rd party providers would be an advantage.
  • Project management experience would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good attention to detail and able to work to strict deadlines.
