Job summary

Hackajob Ltd. is recruiting for a C-UAS Software Architect to join our Mission Systems team in Basildon. The role is hybrid, with primary on-site work in Basildon and flexibility to work from home when on-site tasks are not required.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in complex software systems, defence industry exposure, and the ability to influence architecture and strategy. A full security clearance is advantageous, with a focus on leading architectural work and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Experience with Sensor/Effector systems incl. C2/ GUI aspects.
• Defence industry experience is essential.
• Eligibility for full security clearance.

• Refine existing implementations of our C-UAS software systems.
• Define strategic direction and architectures for future challenges.
• Carry out SI Enterprise Architecture design.
• Identify software solutions and architectures.
• Provide technical leadership in bids and external studies.
• Support Capability Management for product portfolios.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to shape system architectures.
• Develop white papers to steer stakeholder thinking.

Salary: £80,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements

• Extensive background in the development of complex software systems
• Strong awareness of software development technologies
• Significant experience in the specification and development of Sensor/Effector systems, including C2/GUI aspects
• Experience considering Human Factors is highly beneficial
• Significant experience and knowledge of interfacing software systems to achieve integrated capability and data sharing
• Ability to work alongside Solution Architects and provide expertise that helps shape overall system architectures
• Experience developing white papers to shape and steer thinking within the stakeholder community
• Experience working within the defence industry is essential
• Experience using tools such as Visual Studio (C#/C++), DOORS, Cameo, Rhapsody and The Mathworks is desirable
• Must be eligible for full security clearance
