About the Role

Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic educator to teach Sociology and Psychology at a secondary school in the Liverpool area. As one of the fastest growing agencies in the UK, we are looking for a reliable, for somebody with a speciality in Sociology or Psychology to inspire and nurture the next generation of students. A successful applicant will have a teaching qualification with QTS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson delivery: Plan and teach engaging lessons in both sociology and psychology.
  • Student support: Help students develop their academic skills and understanding.
  • Assessment: Monitor student progress, assess their work, and report on their performance.
  • Adjust: Adapt teaching techniques to individuals to help them grasp complex topics.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Sociology or Psychology.
  • Proven experience teaching in a UK secondary school.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training can be provided).
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
  • Ability to provide two professional references/cover the last 24 months worked.
