Overview

Social Workers Adult Learning Disabilities role at City of York Council. This is a temporary 6 month, full-time assignment (37 hours) based within the York area, with hybrid working available. We offer a competitive rate of weekly pay, with online timesheets, holiday pay and pension.

Working with adults with learning disabilities and their families
Working in a supportive specialist team
Conducting assessments and reviews with a person-centred practice
Undertaking a complex but manageable caseload

Qualifications and Requirements

Have a Social Work Qualification: CQSW, Dip. SW, CSS or equivalent
Be SWE registered
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, an enthusiastic can-do attitude and the ability to prioritise workload in an organised way
Be an experienced social worker with experience of adults with SEND and disabilities
Be eligible to work in the UK
Possess a current valid DBS on the Update Service or be willing to undertake an online enhanced DBS check
