Overview

Job Title: Social Worker – Young People’s Service | Specialism: Social Work | Location: Southampton, UK | Salary: £28.00 per hour | Job Type: Ongoing, Full Time



Responsibilities


  • Conduct assessments to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of young people and families, managing complex cases effectively.

  • Collaborate creatively within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver holistic support.

  • Advocate for the needs of young people, liaising with multiple services to ensure appropriate interventions.

  • Implement trauma-informed and evidence-based interventions in line with national best practices and legislation.

  • Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and other professionals, maintaining a solution-focused approach.



Qualifications and Experience


  • Qualified and registered Social Worker with Social Work England.

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in statutory social work with children, including Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children.

  • Ability to support families compassionately using a trauma-informed, evidence-based approach.

  • Strong assessment, safeguarding, and case management skills for high-complexity cases.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
