Job summary

South Ayrshire Council is seeking a dedicated professional to promote and protect the welfare of vulnerable people through comprehensive needs assessment and careful care planning. You will work flexibly across home and office environments, applying professional judgement to set goals, interventions and resources while liaising with families and care teams.

You will contribute to social inclusion and operate within PVG scheme requirements, with a focus on safeguarding and adaptive service

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

To promote and protect the welfare of vulnerable people by comprehensively assessing individual need, taking into consideration internal and external influences. Through use of professional judgement and analysis of collated information, identify goals, the focus of any intervention, objectives and appropriate resources. Monitor, evaluate and adapt care plans to suit changing service user needs and effectively communicate with all relevant parties. To promote social inclusion, work sensitively with diversity and in an anti-discriminatory way. To carry out these tasks within the framework of relevant legislation, Council Policy and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The grade of this post is Level 10.

The work style for this post is Hybrid Worker.

The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly between home and the office and the frequency for attending the office may vary depending on the exigencies of the service.

Applicants whose qualification award is pending within the next 6 months, are welcome to apply. If you are recommended for the post the initial placement will be at Level 8, until your qualification is awarded.
