Social Worker – Support & Safeguarding Pods

Sanctuary Personnel has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the Support & Safeguarding Pods Team to work full time for Achieving for Children, based in Windsor & Maidenhead.

The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £47,798 per annum.

  • The Social Worker will be based in the Support and Safeguarding Pods.
  • As the allocated Social Worker, they will manage a caseload of children who may be subject to child protection plans, child in need plans, children in care plans and including children subject to care proceedings.
  • They will undertake visits to children and families and complete assessments and direct work to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
  • Other duties may include having strategy discussions, safety planning, attending child protection conferences, children in care reviews and child in need reviews.
  • Allocated social workers will also investigate concerns regarding a child or young person’s safety or wellbeing, make an assessment of the risk and protective factors in the family and decide on the most appropriate course of action.
  • A key part of the role entails building effective relationships with children and families and working collaboratively with our partner agencies.

Requirements of this Social Worker role:

  • A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered or eligible for registration.
  • Have a good working knowledge of the relevant legislation.
