Overview

Job Opportunity: Social Worker – Safeguarding Team in Peterborough earning £40 per hour. This full-time locum position within our Family Safeguarding Team offers the chance to gain valuable experience over the next 3 months. You will be based at 7 Sand Martin House, Bittern Way, Fletton Quays, PE2 8TY, with the flexibility of hybrid working and spending three days in the office.

What you will do
  • Conduct detailed assessments for children in need, at risk, or who are looked after, ensuring all safeguarding issues are addressed.
  • Undertake court work, preparing comprehensive reports to support legal proceedings.
  • Participate in Child Protection and Child in Need meetings, contributing to effective decision-making processes.
  • Develop and monitor care plans that promote the safety and well-being of children and young people.
  • Work closely with families, community resources, and multi-disciplinary teams to provide holistic support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records to contribute to the continuity of care.
