Job summary

Caritas Recruitment is working with Oxfordshire County Council to recruit an experienced Social Worker to join their Safeguarding Team at Barton Children’s Centre in Oxford.

You will manage a caseload of children and families, conducting assessments, safeguarding investigations and supporting children through CP, CIN and court processes while collaborating with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Social Work England registration is required.
• Minimum 3 years' post-qualified Children's Social Work experience.

£100 per week accommodation allowance

Caritas Recruitment is working with Oxfordshire County Council to recruit an experienced Social Worker to join their Safeguarding Team.

About the Role

• You will manage a caseload of children and families, completing assessments, undertaking safeguarding investigations, and supporting children through Child Protection, Child in Need and court processes.
• You'll work closely with partner agencies and use a strengths-based approach to achieve the best outcomes for families.

Requirements

• Social Work England registration
• Minimum 3 years' post-qualified Children's Social Work experience

Strong experience of:

• Child Protection (CP)
• Child in Need (CIN)
• Public Law Outline (PLO)
• Court work and care proceedings
• Excellent assessment and report-writing skills
• Ability to travel for visits and meetings across the county

Working Pattern

• 37 hours per week
• Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
• Friday: 8:30am - 4:00pm
