Social Worker - Adults Multi-Disciplinary Team

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Social Worker for the Older Peoples’ Mental Health Team in Bognor Regis, UK, earning up to 38 pounds per hour on a locum basis for a period of 3 months. This wonderful opportunity allows you to engage in a full-time or part-time role within a supportive and dynamic environment. What you will do:

  • Manage a caseload collaborating with clients and their family or friend carers
  • Undertake strengths-based assessments, s117 reviews, and Care Act assessments to develop personalised support plans
  • Identify eligible needs and create personalised outcomes that contribute to well-being and deliver results
  • Utilise community assets and resources to ensure eligible needs are met effectively
  • Apply the Mental Capacity Act to uphold client autonomy and support best interest decisions
  • Work effectively alongside other staff, voluntary agencies, and professionals in the mental health trust
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation and adhere to organisational procedures, policies, and codes of conduct
  • Engage actively in safeguarding tasks and professional development to enhance your skills and capability

Working arrangements:
You will spend 2-3 days per week in our office at Chestnuts Day Centre, Bognor, while you might be required to travel across the county to complete assessments. With a committed team of senior practitioners and assistant care managers by your side, you will collaborate and thrive in delivering excellent social care services.
