Leaders in Care are partnering with a large local authority in South Wales to recruit an experienced Social Worker for their MASH/Assessment Team. This pivotal frontline role sits at the point of referral, where decisions shape intervention and support for vulnerable children and families.

You’ll work closely with health, education, police and early help services to gather information, make informed decisions and ensure safeguarding responses.

Job Overview

We are currently working with a large, well-structured local authority in South Wales seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their MASH/Assessment Team. This is a pivotal frontline role at the point of referral, where your decisions shape the direction of intervention and support for vulnerable children and families.

Working in a Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), you’ll work closely with professionals from health, education, police, and early help services to gather information, make informed decisions, and ensure appropriate safeguarding responses. The team also covers initial assessments and short-term interventions, with clear handovers to longer-term teams when needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Social Worker
• Registered with Social Care Wales

• Excellent understanding of safeguarding thresholds and statutory responsibilities
• Able to work effectively with multi-agency partners and under pressure
