Social Worker within Learning Disabilities in Slough UK earning £37 – £38 per hour, Full-time

Are you an experienced Social Worker looking for an exciting opportunity within the realm of Learning Disabilities? The Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities CTPLD in Slough is seeking a qualified and skilled Social Worker to join our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team. Based at Observatory House, this full-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of £37 to £38 with wonderful opportunities for professional development and personal growth.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake Care Act 2014 assessments, risk assessments, and support planning to identify and meet eligible needs.
  • Complete Mental Capacity Act 2005 assessments and make best interest decisions as appropriate.
  • Manage complex care and support cases, including reviews and safeguarding enquiries.
  • Contribute to Continuing Healthcare CHC processes, including checklist completion and multi-agency discussions.
  • Prepare and submit Community Deprivation of Liberty DoL applications.
  • Work collaboratively with health and social care professionals to promote person-centred, outcome-focused support.
Key requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant frontline experience in Social Services within the UK working as a qualified Social Worker.
  • Experience within an Adult Learning Disability team and Best Interests Assessor BIA is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Liquid Logic LAS case management system is desirable.
Working arrangements

This role requires you to be available weekdays from 0900 to 1700hrs, with hybrid working arrangements. A minimum of two days per week will be required in the office, including participation in duty rota.
