Salary: £20.29 per hour

Hybrid role, minimum of 3 days in the office. Hours: Monday‑Thursday 8:30am‑5pm and Friday 8:30am‑4:30pm. Family Support and Safeguarding team, based at Meadow House in Mansfield. Successful applicant must be a car driver and have access to their own vehicle.

Job description

You will be working in a child protection and child in need team, as a social worker responsible for children who are subject to child protection and child in need plans. You must have experience of writing child and parenting assessments, social work evidence templates and robust child in need and child protection plans. You will have experience of working with domestic abuse, sexual abuse, harmful sexual behaviour, parental mental health, parents alcohol and substance misuse and contextual safeguarding, such as child criminal and child sexual exploitation. We do have a separate looked‑after and court team but you would be responsible for initial court paperwork to initiate care proceedings or pre‑proceedings processes and may have some looked‑after children subject to s.20 or ICO's until transfer.

You will be hard working, reliable, timely, adhere to strict deadlines and have excellent administration skills, including recording case records on children's files.

You will have a formal social work qualification, a clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle (with business insurance cover).
