Job summary

Haringey Council is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities Team. You will support children and families through assessments, interventions and services that promote well-being and development.

Key duties include conducting assessments, developing care plans in collaboration with families and professionals, providing direct guidance and working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

  • Recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children and families, especially those with disabilities.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills with sound judgement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and strengths.
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with families, professionals and other stakeholders.
  • Provide direct support and guidance to children and families, ensuring their voices are heard.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure effective service delivery and continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with statutory requirements and best practices.
