Job summary

Caritas Recruitment Limited is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join the Child Protection (CP) / Children in Need (CIN) Team in Knowsley. You will conduct assessments, develop care plans, and provide safeguarding support for vulnerable children and families.

The ideal candidate holds a Social Work degree with Social Work England registration and relevant CP experience. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and knowledge of child welfare legislation are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.

  • Provide direct support and intervention to children and families; ensure their voices are heard.
  • Maintain accurate case records, reports and documentation.
  • Participate in multi-agency meetings and safeguarding processes.
