Job Title: Social Worker – Children In Care Team
Location: Exeter and East Devon, UK
Contract Type: Full-Time, Ongoing
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Hybrid (office and home-based) with duty cover four to five days per month

Salary: Up to £42.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Children In Care Team in Exeter. This full-time locum role offers hybrid working flexibility while providing vital support to children in care. Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and review cases for children in care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with families, carers, and other professionals to create effective care plans.
  • Attend and contribute to child care reviews and meetings, ensuring the voice of the child is central to all decisions.
  • Provide guidance, advice, and support to families and foster carers, helping to improve outcomes for children.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records in line with statutory regulations and organisational standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum three years post-qualifying experience (PQE) in social work.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to a car.
