A local council in the United Kingdom is seeking a Social Worker for its Children In Care Permanence Team. The role focuses on maximizing life chances for children and young people in care and promoting their voices in care decisions. Candidates must hold a professional Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities to build strong connections with families across Warwickshire.
About the Team:
This role will be based within Warwickshire’s Children in Care Permanence Team who are predominantly based in Bedworth but offer a County-wide service to all Children in Care who have a plan of permanency across Warwickshire and those who may be placed further away from home. If you join us you will see that we are a busy but highly rewarding team to work for, it is our passion to capture the voice of young people in all that we do and ensure that they are central to all care and pathway planning decisions relating to them and their future.
We offer a service to Children in Care of all ages (up to 18yrs) who have a plan of permanence in various settings including foster care, residential provision, supported accommodation, supported lodgings, and those placed with connected family members.
We also work very closely with families, and as children get older and family circumstances change, we support children and young people to return to their families where safe to do so.
Our focus is on ensuring all children and young people are well supported to maximise their life chances; where they can thrive in our care, are safe from any harm or abuse, have access to the best education and training, and feel prepared for adulthood. We work hard to ensure that our children's voices are heard and that our team have opportunities to build positive relationships with the young people that we support.

About the Role:
We are recruiting for the role of Social Worker in our Children In Care Permanence Team covering a Countywide service across Warwickshire and those who may be placed further away from home. We are seeking two full-time and one 30 hour part time applicants on a permanent basis.

Key Requirements:
This role is County-wide so there will be some travelling within Warwickshire and also beyond Warwickshire to children and young people placed further afield.
This role will be primarily undertaken within office hours however agile working will be required, with some evening work depending on the needs of families.
Applicants for the role will need a professional Social Work qualification and Social Work England Registration.
