Job summary

Blackpool Council is seeking a Social Worker for the Children in Care Team to support the Children’s Services with a locum arrangement. The role requires handling a caseload, attending conferences, and providing child-focused, evidence-based recommendations.

The post involves 2 days office-based work per week with a focus on statutory duties, court attendances, and long-term engagement with vulnerable families to capture the child’s voice.

• Undertake Section 7 and 37 reports, attend Court, and provide evidence-based recommendations.
• Long term engagement with families, including direct work and capturing the voice of the child.
• Attend CIC conferences and reviews.

We are currently working with Blackpool Council to find an experienced Social Worker for their Children in Care Team within Children s Services. With a stable management team and an OUTSTANDING OFSTED, Blackpool are looking for someone with solid experience to be able to pick up a caseload and support their services.
